I know you probably do not need yet another travel guide but here is my ultimate, in flight essentials list for long haul travel.
Getting dressed
I always wear compression leggings on long haul flights, typically lululemon align leggings. They’re cozy enough to sleep in and easy to coordinate. I wash my hair the day I fly so that it’s still clean(ish) when I land.
I wear compression socks whenever I remember and the layers of compression helps with bloating and water retention.
I usually also wear a tank top and a sweatshirt or cozy sweater and sneakers. For me, comfort takes priority over looking cute.
Packing for the plane
I bring a backpack and an Away larger carry on in flight. The larger size can be too big for some domestic flights in Europe and Asia but I have very rarely had a problem.
I always bring a pair of jeans and different shoes, as well as a few pair of panties, in my carry on so I can change right before landing. I, personally, find feeling a little bit more put together helps with jet lag.
I don’t wear make-up on the plane and I use a Dennis Gross Peel Pad as soon as I get on the plane, followed by SK II Essence, moisturizer (lots of moisturizer), and Elemis face oil. I like the Summer Friday’s Jet Lag mask and Laneige lip mask. I reapply the masks and face oil a few times.
Before Landing
I brush my hair and teeth and use Peter Thomas Roth vitamin C eye patches followed by my normal AM skincare: the SK II essence, Skinceuticals vitamin C serum, moisturizer, eye cream (I’m still trying to find the perfect one, please comment your recs), and Skinceuticals brightening sunscreen, and then use a little mascara and blush. I change into jeans and a different shirt either before I get off the plane or in the bathroom at baggage claim.
I usually take melatonin for a few days following a time change, it’s a huge help with jet lag.
I hope that my little travel routine helps with your next trip! Please comment your in-flight tips below! As much as I wish I was the type of girl to do sheet masks on the plane, I never end up using them consistently. For me, layers of moisture and a brightening eye mask is the solution.
My email for paid subscribers is coming out today (late, I know, I am so sorry! Travel got the best of me.) as always, if you enjoy Moxie please consider becoming a paid subscriber and or sharing with friends!
All my love, I can’t wait to share with you guys what I am doing next… As soon as I figure out what it is.
Xx,
Hannah
The Tula instant serum and depuffer is Heaven-sent, it isn't a roller so it doesn't clog and the metal applicator is always cool

Biossance squaline + marine algae eye cream is currently my holy grail, I love the glow recipe avocado retinol one too, but it’s not quite as effective in super dry air or climates.
