What I've learned as someone who was recently diagnosed with chronic illness is that beauty and suffering can coexist. And that all we have is the present moment. Keep living life! We're all just doing our best 💚
So much of this resonates, Hannah! "We are the only people who can fix our own lives" -- yes, one million times over! We chart our own path, however scary or difficult it may be.
Like you, I have always wanted to be a writer. Some circumstance, but mostly fear, has been holding me back. Your recent work has been a true inspiration to me - everyone starts somewhere, and watching you build this platform for yourself inspired me to start my own. Just last night I published my first post. Thank you for sharing, and giving me the air I needed to get going. 💛
I’m so happy to hear that the depression has receded a little -- every little bit helps! The boat doesn’t have to be forever and can still be great for right now. Getting out and meeting yourself again in the wild is a lovely way to start to heal & rediscover who you are. It’s AWESOME you are able (and chose--the bravery!) to start your healing journey on a new adventure. Adventures are adventures because they’re rare and special! Keep doing you & don’t feel like you need an itemized long term strategy. Healing and getting to know yourself again is the strategy. Soak in the sun and sea!!! Wear sunscreen!!! Love u!!!
The grace you are giving yourself is incredibly important. When I divorced 17 years ago.. I believed I had to be the paragon of all things Mother, friend, employee, etc. To be less than perfect was showing the world that I needed my husband.
I only wish I could be as thoughtful and insightful as you are. Much love.
Hannah, I love your writing and speaking style. You are so talented and I’m so grateful that you share so much of you, the good and the bad. It helps so much. You’re an inspiration to so many. A very unique voice for these times. You are talented in so many ways. Let yourself feel it. Accept it. Be bolstered by it. You picked the best title ever. You are Moxie! Much love to you. You’re in my heart! Sheila
Thank you for this thoughtful comment Anya! I can’t even imagine weathering this with 6 children. I know it’s hard but you can do it and I hope you’re proud of yourself, I’m proud of you

Oh Allison thank you so much! I just subscribed! Can’t wait to read
I loved this one! are you comfortable with me sharing the “but I am an adult” paragraph on Instagram? I would tag you, of course!
Thank you Jessica!! I appreciate that so much! And I would be absolutely honored if you shared! <3
